The Boards
A place for the word
to get around.
Read the latest dispatches, take a Spoonful for the road, or find the shelves where a life becomes a record. Some notices help you take the next step. Some help an old friend find you again.
Latest from the realm
Word worth keeping up with.

Find your place
Company begins with a hello.
Wanderer
New to the company? In Discord, accepting the Code of Conduct makes you a Wanderer. You can follow dispatches, ask for help, and get your bearings before choosing a Path.
Defender
Read the four Path introductions in Defender's Discipline, then choose the Path you practise or intend to begin. That opens the Board, the Commons, and the Marketplace, with more places to learn, find company, and take part.
Warrior, Rogue, Mystic, and Sage stand equal. Choose where you begin; there is no lesser doorway.
A note on the names. These are Discord roles. Your character's progress belongs to the game. You can read this website without a Discord role.

A Spoonful for the road
A little reading. A useful next step.
Board Spoonfuls give you one useful principle, something concrete to notice, and a next step. The Golden Route follows the opening journey in fuller company. Field Guides help when a particular task needs a particular answer.
Take what helps. The rest will keep until you need it.
The Golden Route
Prologue, Editions 01-10, then Epilogue: the opening journey in the Chronicles. What the Road Wears is Spoonful 11, a separate reading.
Field Guides
Find the first unfinished step, check what is carried and equipped, and keep your place in the journey.
A word for the wayfarer
The Common Nonsense strip offers a short word for the road. Pause it to keep a thought, or choose Next for another.
The Chronicles
The story we are making.
The Chronicles records the life taking shape in Qi'an: the roads we take, the lessons we earn, and the deeds worth leaving behind. The Golden Route and the Ally chronicle belong here, among the accounts that help a world understand itself.
Read for the route to an answer, and for the people who found it. Today's small account may be tomorrow's history.
Old Tomes
You had a name before you came here.
Perhaps several. A character, a guild, a family line. A world you knew by heart, and people who knew you by a name you have not used in years.
The games that made us brought us here. Old Tomes gives those former lives a lasting home. Every player is invited to contribute an account of the avatars, identities, ancestries, and worlds that shaped them, so we can preserve and honour our own history together.
Those shelves also reach further back. Epictetus' The Art of Living and the Spartans' one-word If are among our inspirations, alongside Zhuangzi's useless tree, Laozi's empty vessel, and Epicurus on friendship: old readings with room for a new reader.
The Chronicles are for the present. The Old Tomes connect us.
Lost & Found
Somewhere, someone still knows your old name.
At Declan's Lost & Foundry, the Lost & Found board helps you find friends from other worlds and former lives. Leave the name they knew, the game you shared, and the friend you hope might recognise you.
Here, breaking the fourth wall is encouraged. Old guildmates, travelling companions, familiar rivals: there is common soil beneath your feet again. Familiar enough to meet. New enough to begin.
