All Paths Equal
Four Paths. Four answers to the same problem.
A Defender chooses a method. Not a measure of their worth.
Warrior, Rogue, Mystic, and Sage practice the same elemental inheritance through different methods. None is the beginner Path. None is the correct Path. None is entitled to turn the others into supporting roles.
Pebble Path, four ways over
One trail. Four incomparable kinds of work.
Warrior
Meets the densest obstruction head-on. The result is firm footing, space to turn, and room for the next person to work.
Rogue
Finds the seam through the brush. The result is useful cover, an alternate opening, and escape without entrapment.
Mystic
Uses conservative, targeted casting. Only what must fall is struck, so mana and materials can finish the whole job.
Sage
Makes endurance belong to everyone. Strain is answered before collapse, and the work stays alive until the route can serve those who follow.
After the fourth pass, the trail is not a compromise. It carries the accumulated best of all four disciplines.
Cooperation opens the route. Training lets the body keep using what the route reveals.
Why training is necessary
Capacity is not immunity
Quintessence-rich equipment against an untrained body can cause fever and a blistering, swollen rash. Defender ancestry offers the capacity to acclimate, not immunity without practice.
Coated armor marks the first controlled agreement among body, equipment, and concentrated quintessence. A Path teaches how to use that agreement deliberately.
That agreement has a cut, a color, and a material history. Armor is the lesson made visible.

Path armor
The same source takes four forms
One Ironsilk inheritance supports four equally valid constructions. Warrior keeps impact-bearing structure. Rogue keeps quiet mobility. Mystic keeps precise casting. Sage keeps sustained attention and timely restoration.

The cut says how the Defender works. The color says how far the material has learned to agree.
Every stage asks something from the world: a source, a maker, a practiced body, and usually another player.
What training wakes
One Defender can keep learning
Vita and mana can empty. Training does not. A practiced discipline can pause when a reserve is spent without being erased.
Warrior makes committed strength deliberate. Rogue joins perception, timing, and movement into one decision. Mystic directs mana without wasting the full reserve. Sage turns attention into restoration at the moment it matters.
The Paths are equal because no single awakening can claim the whole Defender.
