The Board

Take one good idea with you.

The Eternal Library keeps the full account. The Board carries one useful spoonful of it back into play. In the client, press B to open it.

Exact quest. Useful principle. One thing worth noticing. A breadcrumb to the full Edition. Then back to the game.

Prologue

The Record Is Not the Road

A guide, item name, or completion mark can help you find your place. None of them should replace the experience they help you resume.

The Board is most useful when it returns you to play with a sharper question, not when it answers every surprise in advance.

Spoonful 05

The Oak Takes Arms

An Oak Leaf is not important because a table asks for one. It matters because the leaf connects a creature to the place that fed it, a player to the evidence they noticed, and a craft to the elemental form it can preserve.

That is the size of a Spoonful: one connection you can carry without carrying the whole shelf.

Spoonful 11

What the Road Wears

Equipment remembers what was added. A new stage does not need to erase the material, Path, or work that qualified it to change.

When the next requirement feels unrelated, look again. The source package often crosses several routes because the finished item is expected to serve more than one kind of encounter.

  • Ask Player Help when the facts on your screen do not match either one.

Short enough to carry

Complete enough to respect the player

A Spoonful is not a summary of everything. It is one principle, one exact name, one thing to notice, and one useful next step.

Excellence takes on many remarkable forms. The Board respects each one by recording the lesson without stealing the discovery.

Patronage buys responsibility. Not victory.
