End User License Agreement
Effective Date: March 14, 2026
This End User License Agreement, together with any documents expressly incorporated by reference, is a legally binding agreement between Samhan Chronicles Inc. ("Samhan Chronicles," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") and the person or entity that downloads, installs, accesses, creates an account for, or uses the Samhan Chronicles game client, launcher, website, services, forums, servers, patches, updates, digital content, music, art, text, characters, storylines, software, and related materials (collectively, the "Game").
By clicking "I Agree", creating an account, installing the Game, accessing the Game, or using the Game in any way, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use the Game.
1. Eligibility and authority
You represent and warrant that:
- You are at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or you are using the Game with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to this Agreement on your behalf.
- You have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this Agreement.
- Any information you provide to us is truthful, accurate, and kept up to date.
If you are accepting this Agreement on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
2. Limited license: licensed, not sold
Subject to your ongoing compliance with this Agreement, Samhan Chronicles grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:
- download and install the authorized Game client on devices you own or control; and
- access and use the Game solely for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
The Game is licensed, not sold. No ownership rights are transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Samhan Chronicles and its licensors.
3. Ownership and intellectual property
The Game and all of its components, including all software, code, source code, object code, systems, methods, mechanics, text, graphics, user interface elements, artwork, sprites, animations, music, sound effects, voice work, characters, names, titles, logos, trade dress, stories, lore, maps, quests, audiovisual works, databases, compilations, documentation, and other content, together with all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, moral rights, and other intellectual property rights in and to them, are owned by Samhan Chronicles Inc. and/or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
No right or license is granted except as expressly stated in this Agreement.
4. Account registration and security
To access some or all parts of the Game, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate and complete registration information;
- maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
- not share, sell, transfer, rent, or lend your account or access credentials;
- notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account; and
- remain responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may refuse registration, reclaim usernames, require additional verification, suspend access, or terminate accounts in our discretion where necessary to protect the Game, players, or our rights.
5. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
You may not, and may not encourage, assist, or permit any other person to:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, publish, broadcast, or otherwise exploit the Game or any part of it except as expressly authorized by us in writing;
- modify, adapt, translate, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, derive source code from, or create derivative works based on the Game or any part of it, except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law and cannot lawfully be excluded;
- bypass, disable, interfere with, remove, impair, or circumvent any access control, security feature, digital rights management measure, technological protection measure, authentication system, anti-cheat system, or usage restriction used in connection with the Game;
- extract, scrape, mine, mirror, index, frame, archive, rip, datamine, or harvest code, assets, content, gameplay data, audio, visuals, databases, or other materials from the Game;
- host, emulate, mirror, relay, or operate any unauthorized server, shard, private server, matchmaking service, backend, launcher, patch service, authentication service, or other system that reproduces, facilitates, or substitutes for any part of the Game;
- use bots, scripts, macros, automation tools, memory editors, packet manipulation tools, cheats, exploits, mods, injectors, trainers, or unauthorized third-party software in connection with the Game;
- access or use the Game for commercial purposes, including boosting, account selling, power-leveling, gold selling, asset sales, or other commercial exploitation, unless expressly authorized by us in a separate written agreement;
- remove, alter, conceal, or obscure copyright notices, trademark notices, proprietary legends, or attribution notices;
- use the Game or any Samhan Chronicles intellectual property in connection with another game, service, project, training dataset, software product, blockchain product, AI system, advertising campaign, merchandise line, or commercial offering without our prior written permission;
- infringe the rights of Samhan Chronicles, its licensors, or any third party;
- use the Game in any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable manner; or
- attempt any of the foregoing.
Any unauthorized use is outside the scope of the license granted under this Agreement and constitutes a material breach.
6. No private servers or unauthorized environments
Your license does not include any right to host, operate, emulate, reproduce, relay, or provide access to the Game or any portion of its server-side or client-side environment except through services expressly operated or authorized by Samhan Chronicles.
Without limiting the generality of Section 5, you may not:
- create or operate a private server or test environment;
- reproduce game logic, maps, systems, character data, drop tables, progression systems, network protocols, APIs, or account services;
- distribute tools or instructions designed to facilitate unauthorized play or infrastructure; or
- use any of our code, assets, audiovisual content, or other intellectual property to build, promote, or run any unauthorized game environment.
Samhan Chronicles reserves the right to pursue all available contractual, equitable, statutory, and other remedies in respect of unauthorized server activity, asset misuse, or infringement. Any commercial license or settlement offer, if ever made, is entirely at Samhan Chronicles' sole discretion and nothing in this Agreement obligates Samhan Chronicles to offer one.
7. User content and submissions
If the Game permits you to submit, upload, post, stream, transmit, or otherwise make available content, including names, chat, screenshots, audio, video, fan works, bug reports, suggestions, feedback, contest entries, or other materials (collectively, "User Content"), you retain any rights you may have in your User Content, subject to the rights you grant below.
You grant Samhan Chronicles a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify for technical purposes, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, perform, display, and otherwise use your User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, promoting, and supporting the Game and related services.
You represent and warrant that:
- you have all necessary rights to provide the User Content;
- your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights; and
- your User Content complies with this Agreement and applicable law.
Feedback, suggestions, ideas, proposals, and improvement requests you provide may be used by Samhan Chronicles without restriction or compensation.
8. Virtual items, currencies, and subscriptions
The Game may include virtual currencies, cosmetic items, subscriptions, account entitlements, season access, founder packs, beta access, patron benefits, or other digital features (collectively, "Digital Entitlements"). Unless otherwise expressly stated in a separate written policy:
- Digital Entitlements are licensed, not sold;
- they have no cash value, are not property, and are not redeemable for money;
- they are non-transferable except where we expressly permit otherwise; and
- we may modify, replace, remove, suspend, or discontinue them at any time subject to applicable law.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, payment charges, and fees associated with your purchases and subscriptions.
9. Updates, patches, and changes to the Game
We may provide patches, updates, hotfixes, new content, balancing changes, anti-cheat tools, or other modifications to the Game at any time. You agree that we may require you to install updates as a condition of continued access.
We may alter, suspend, limit, or discontinue any feature, content, service, character, zone, economy, entitlement, or mode of access at any time, including during alpha, beta, testing, or live operations.
10. Beta, test, and pre-release services
If you access an alpha, beta, test realm, preview build, staging environment, or other pre-release portion of the Game, you acknowledge that it may be incomplete, unstable, contain errors, or be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Pre-release access may be subject to additional rules, confidentiality restrictions, wipe events, or participation requirements.
11. Monitoring, enforcement, and investigation
To protect the Game and its community, Samhan Chronicles may, subject to applicable law, monitor use of the Game, investigate suspected misconduct, preserve evidence, and take technical, contractual, or legal steps that we consider appropriate.
This may include:
- reviewing logs, telemetry, authentication data, usage history, and security events;
- detecting cheats, automation, tampering, unauthorized servers, or asset extraction;
- issuing warnings, suspensions, bans, takedown notices, or cease and desist demands; and
- pursuing claims for injunctive relief, damages, account of profits, delivery up, statutory damages where available, legal costs, and any other available remedies.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Game or this Agreement immediately, with or without notice, if:
- you breach this Agreement;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, cheating, unauthorized access, infringement, private server activity, or abuse;
- required by law, platform rules, payment processor requirements, or security concerns; or
- we discontinue the Game or the relevant service.
Upon suspension or termination:
- your license ends immediately;
- you must stop using the Game;
- you must destroy or delete any copies of the Game in your possession or control, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise; and
- provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, dispute resolution, and enforcement rights.
13. Electronic contracting and records
You consent to receive this Agreement and related notices electronically.
By clicking "I Agree" or otherwise manifesting assent electronically, you adopt an electronic signature and agree that your acceptance is legally binding.
Samhan Chronicles may maintain records of your acceptance, including the version accepted, date and time, account identifier, and related technical metadata, as evidence of your agreement. You agree that such records, maintained in the ordinary course of business, may be used to establish the existence, terms, and acceptance of this Agreement.
14. No transfer or assignment by you
You may not assign, transfer, sublicense, pledge, or otherwise dispose of this Agreement, your account, or any rights granted to you under this Agreement without our prior written consent. Any attempted transfer in violation of this Section is void.
15. Third-party services and platforms
The Game may interact with third-party platforms, payment processors, community tools, storefronts, or services. Those third parties may have their own terms and policies, and Samhan Chronicles is not responsible for third-party products or services.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Game and all related services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, with all faults and without warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral.
Samhan Chronicles disclaims all implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, availability, security, compatibility, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that the Game will be available at all times, free from bugs, secure, or free of harmful components, or that defects will be corrected.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Samhan Chronicles Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, successors, and assigns will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, use, business opportunity, or digital items, arising out of or relating to the Game or this Agreement, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Samhan Chronicles arising out of or relating to the Game or this Agreement will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Samhan Chronicles for the Game in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) CAD $100.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
18. Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Samhan Chronicles Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, successors, and assigns from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
- your breach of this Agreement;
- your misuse of the Game;
- your User Content; or
- your violation of law or the rights of any person or entity.
19. Governing law and forum
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Subject to any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection law, you and Samhan Chronicles attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia, Canada for any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Game.
20. Injunctive relief
You acknowledge that unauthorized use of the Game or infringement of Samhan Chronicles intellectual property may cause irreparable harm for which damages alone may be an insufficient remedy. Accordingly, Samhan Chronicles may seek injunctive or other equitable relief without the need to post security, to the extent permitted by law.
21. Changes to this Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by posting the updated version, requiring renewed acceptance, or using other reasonable means.
Your continued use of the Game after the effective date of an updated Agreement constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
22. Severability, waiver, and entire agreement
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
This Agreement, together with any policies and terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Samhan Chronicles regarding the Game and supersedes prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject.
